Finian's Rainbow

Saints on Stage, the extra-curricular musical theater program of St. Francis Xavier School in Buffalo, Minnesota is finding gold in its seventh year with its production of “Finians Rainbow Jr.
 
The story is about Finian and his daughter, Sharon emigrating from Ireland to a mythical place in America with hopes of improving their lives.   Hot on their trail is the Leperchan who is looking for his gold that Finian “borrowed”.  The gold provides the cast of characters with 3 wishes.  Antics ensue as the 3 wishes are granted with unexpected results. Through the wishes the cast learns that first impressions are not always accurate and loving each other is the most important rule. The junior version of this full scale musical provides all the entertainment of a full length musical just in a shorter simpler way.
